What's New?
Most folks who fell in love with the 4Runner first did so because of its rugged design and considerable power. Toyota has shed the 4.0-liter V6 engine that powered the lineup for over a decade in favor of two intriguing and more efficient options. Both the hybrid i-Force Max and gas-only options deliver power. The hybrid generates 317 horsepower and 456 pound-feet of torque. If you'd prefer the gas-only engine for your commutes between Danville and Bloomsburg, it produces 278 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. Both setups use a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine.
With an eight-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case, the 4Runner is ready for all on- and off-road conditions. A selectable system provides part-time or full-time all-wheel drive.
Performance
Built on the Toyota Tacoma truck platform, the all-new-for-2025 4Runner brings the full-size SUV closer in design to its pickup cousin. A rugged design with many angles gives the 4Runner a distinctively tactical and off-road exterior that will turn heads around Selinsgrove. The new design also features relatively large fender flares compared to previous designs. With 9.2 inches of ground clearance for all models except the off-road version, the 4Runner rides high enough to handle a wide range of off-road activities. Technology
The blocky and angular vibe continues in the interior. A notable addition is a more tablet-style infotainment display on the dashboard at a high vantage point. Tactile knobs also provide easy control while you're driving. With an optional digital instrument cluster, you can access everything from the speedometer to driving directions in a more convenient location.
The Toyota brand designed the 2025 4Runner as a two-row SUV that can seat up to five people. Stitching accents and contrasting tones give the interior most of its visual character. A large center console provides storage room for the front occupants, and the 4Runner also has plenty of rear cargo space.
Interior Features
The base model has an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment display, but a 14-inch one is available. Additionally, Williamsport shoppers can choose from a seven-inch gauge cluster or a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Push-button start is standard on all 4Runner. The SUV also offers wireless phone access through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety
Sunbury shoppers will love that the latest Toyota 4Runner operates with the newest version of the Toyota Safety Sense technology suite, Version 3.0. This update includes many popular safety systems, such as pre-collision mitigation, pedestrian detection, lane tracing, road sign identification, and proactive driving assistance. The 2024 Toyota4Runner also comes with full-speed dynamic radar cruise control.
